Yes, If you use Firefox you can download video download helper. It scans the page for videos and plug ins and lets you download them from any site.
Install IDM (Internet Download Manager Google it) After installation you can download any video from youtube.
DVD videosoft is what I use. You can download the entire product for free (on the web page top right hand corner green box). This will give you a LOT of options, not only downloading youtube videos. Enjoy!

all i need is video2mp3.net to only get a song but i just use keepvid for full video you should try google it
There are programs which record and download part of the screen on your computer, i dont know what they are. but the quality isnt as good,
I doubt there is a universal video downloader for videos.
but there is a way to do it, im just not sure how.

don’t use programms to do this. They are generally unsafe.
The best way to go is with download sites preferably ones that give you download links without the need for JAVA.
I use http://savetu.be lately and it has proven quite reliable.
One other note: if you use a programm to download videos from youtube and it breaks down you have to go and find a new program or update the existing one, if you are using a service (website) to do this job you just will have to wait until they fix the site which in my experience is faster and doesn’t happen very often.
