YouTube downloader? As in a specific software program that you downloaded? Throw that crap in the recycle bin and just use http://keepvid.com . A simple copy/paste into the box labeled “URL” will make it available to download in seconds.
If you insist on using an actual program, try RealPlayer. Its main function is playing media, but it has the capability of downloading any video from any website with just a simple click.

Maybe you’re copying a bad link? Try clicking “share” below the video and copy all of that link. Paste it in the downloader. Make sure you have the downloader option selected and it should work. If not, maybe uninstall and try again?

Just type “link” front of your youtube link and enter it will open one new page. from that page you can select video format and download
